Been a lotta years since the call to arms.
Beats me. Possibly election rhetoric.

Hendrix/Woodstock/1969/Aug-18/around dawn due to scheduling delays.

Didn't do it though (play it at dawn myself that is...).
One of my favorites - wonderful that the performance was recorded on both film & sound - so many great ones were not back in those days.
I once visited Hendrix' grave on perhaps his birthday or maybe date of his death. There were a few people there, and someone had brought a boombox and was playing Hendrix music while we as strangers to each other but with something in common all just stood sort of somber and reflecting, staring down at his marker. I found it a quite moving experience.

Woodstock Nation. The Revolution.
Being multilingual what often seems clear in the abstract does not come across as intended- sorry lol..
Ah.
We of the Woodstock generation as a rule did not think in terms of picking up arms. We picked flowers and worked for peace.

Ah indeed.
Let me state most emphatically I am a Pacifist. I abhor violence.
"Call to Arms" was a poor choice of words ( with its militaristic implication) for what I meant more of as a rallying call to a generation.
" The Revolution " to me was enpowerment
I've found the best way to help the Peace Movement (in my "retirement") is working with Doctors without Borders. We might not be able to stop violence but we can help the victims.
Just an old hippie waxing nostalgic at dawn one morning
Well, I take it as my personal anthem, but here's to you as well:
