Picture of new 57 Deluxe vs original Deluxe

I saw this on another forum and though it might be interesting to post the link here. This is a photo showing inside the chassis of an original Deluxe and the new Fender 57 Reissue Deluxe:

would you really throw that jensen away?

Hi, Gee

The one thing i noticed apart from the obvious differences in the age of the components was the little wheelie bin with an x through it on the jensen speaker.

The first time i noticed this was on a behringer delay pedal and i had to laugh , as though it was cheap i didn't plant to just chuck it away , even if it was a crapenger, sold it and got a beat up boss dd-3 instead and sounds much better ! anyhow i'm seeing that symbol all the time now....

Wouldn't suppose that the jenson is so bad that they need to have something indicating that you really shouldnt throw it in the junk.....

so whats it mean? don't recycle ... don't throw in bin, as if you would , though maybe someone would.... as they say modern life is rubbish

maybe they should replace the wheelie bin symbol with a sell on ebay symbol
or a trading post symbol or pehaps a porn shop symbol..... feel free to come up with a design and post it here ......

well back to the unreal world.

I was never a big fan of crimped on spade connectors in things that vibrate intensely. The bean counters have something to do with that no doubt.

I wondered about that too. I assumed it must be a silver paper backed card that adds some degree of shielding. Anyone know why it is there? I sense the word band-aid will crop up.

Also are those fuses on the main board?

all I know is that the appearance of my Mission Tweedy's wiring kicks this thing's ass....and I'm sure no wiring expert!

Notice they're using a P12Q as well instead of a P12R in the original. Those new Jensens sound NOTHING like the old ones anyway...a Weber 12A100T would have been a better choice...especially since they're charging an arm and a leg anyway!

Cardboard

That's there to help contain Jr.'s stray metal pieces.
Jr. is allowed to play in the input section through the holes, but we try to keep his toys out of the HV sections.
