| 5E3 Fuse ?'s
Hi all, Does anyone here use extra fuses in their 5E3 builds other than the 2 amp from the wall? That's a slo blow right? I'm curious if there are other safety spots to add a fuse or two in to preserve parts from potential damage? Certainly let me know if I'm thinking overboard here as I am making my first build and want it to be just right. Thanks! cooper www.blanketeer.net www.myspace.com/blanketeer |

I suppose you could put a 160mA fuse on the B+, isn't the max output rating for a 5Y3GT 125mA?

well, I fuse both sides of the primary (and switch both sides). I don't know if it makes a difference, but the wall plugs aren't polarized here and you never know which side is hot. Switching both sides is code here. I also put a fuse on the HV secondary. It doesn't cost much extra time, money, or effort, and doesn't hurt anything, so I just go ahead and do it. steven |
