Excellent viewing. Suggest you take a look to see when it'll be shown again. Unfortunately, my Comcast DVR FAILED two-minutes into the thing....typical. |

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for posting this. I would have missed it. The show was great. I got it on tape to save. The only goofy thing I saw was when they showed Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar in a context that implied that he played a Les Paul. Cheers, Tom |

yeah, the omnipresence of Strats was a little bizarre. But think of this. What would you give to have a 12-DVD set of Les giving you a tour through that basement a box at a time? |

Well, I was fortunate enough to see it Wednesday on PBS (WTTW 11 Chicago) at 9 p.m. Central Time. I wish that I had known that it was going to be rebroadcast on Thursday. If it ever comes up again, please let us all know. I agree, it was a FANTASTIC show. It was much better than I thought it would be. My only complaint was that the graphics that they used to illustrate the concept of overdubbing could have been a bit clearer. I knew how it worked, yet it was kind of hard for me to follow. I imagine that it could have been difficult to follow for people who weren't familiar with the concept (like my 80 year old Mom). Maybe it would have been better if they kept a legend on-screen that showed what the different colored notes meant. For those of you who missed the show, its is available on DVD for $25 plus S/H. I didn't get the address, but I wrote down the 800 number in case anyone's interested. |
