Question Login Timeout? (test?)

I just tried to post a thread, and it took me a while to get it JUST right. When I went to post, it said I wasn't logged in and so couldn't post a new thread? Just wondering if there was a time limit involved...anyway, I'll try again tomorrow...I'm getting to like this new format. Only one suggestion regarding all of the forums and subforums etc...

Perhaps the sub-divisions that really don't receive too much traffic could slowly be worked back into some of the larger headings? It might be easier to just start out with extra options now and edit them later than have to add stuff when everything's already established and busy?

I emailed tboy about this issue and he said you only stay logged in for 21 minutes unless you check the Remember Me box. However, when this did happen to me, I just logged in again and the board software correctly posted my reply so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Here's a tip:

If you're working on a long post, try hitting the preview button every so often. That will refresh the login cookie and bring you back to continue editing your post.

The old software here had a few bugs ("a few???") and it got to the point where I'd usually save the post I was working on to a textfile before saying a short prayer and hitting the "Send" button...

I haven't noticed any problems here, but over at Yahoo Groups it'll piss me off that it will allow you to spend 20 minutes composing a post and then not accept it because you're not logged on... Grrrr! "Why didn't you say something earlier!?!"

Of course Murphy's Law dictates that the one time you don't save your post to a textfile is the one time that your post is trashed...
