Obscure Music after 2000 that you like

I ran across some songs I'm digging, fairly obscure and this millennium so not deep tracks!

    Love me some backward guitar!

This is Mergence a band from Phoenix, AZ. It always seemed to me that Mergence was a great local band that deserved to make it one day. Unfortunately I think they called it quits just recently, oh well.

WHAT??? There's music after 2000? I thought it was all rap music and rock tunes with 20 bar intros. Why you kids today....

Oh I am sure there are tunes I like. My seminal period of music though was in the 1960s when I was a rock DJ on the radio. Go to the station each day top play whatever, then one magic day a new album appeared from some guy named Jimi Hendrix, and everything changed. In recent years, I have heard new bands on the scene that I liked the sound of, but nothing that hit it out of the park.
