    Mojo tone web order

My first order from MojoTone today, the prices seem reasonable, etc., etc., but I have one question:

In addition to the "order received" email from Mojo, and the "payment received" email from Paypal, I also received an email from Mojo's payment processing center (?) at transactions.na3.netsuite.com where they sent me a .PDF file that I'm asked to open. Is this how Mojo does its receipt handling? My spider senses start tingling whenever I get a (relatively) unsolicited email with an attachment that I'm supposed to open. Legit?

I haven't done business with Mojotone yet (their Quiet Coil pickups are very tempting!) but other webstores will send an email like that. To be safe you might not want to open the attached PDF file until someone confirms that it is normal for them to send that email. (It's probably just a copy of their invoice that some businesses might need for their records.)

    That sounds about right.
They do send a pdf, don't remember the exact address of it.
If in doubt, you might scan it with your AV.

My suggestion as well, pick up the phone and call them. Ask.

I do vaguely remember the third-party website during checkout, but I haven't gotten this kind of email response from any other web presence, and have never gotten an emailed receipt that didn't simply show up in the the html of the email. Just seems a bit old-fashioned? I will cheerfully let the attachment languish in my inbox, don't need it for any kind of accounting. I really don't believe that it's an attack, just wanted some feedback on Mojo's normal behavior. If T says it sounds normal, that's good enough for me

    > Just seems a bit old-fashioned?

As big as they may seem in our microcosm universe of amp parts and the like, the reality is that like most other small businesses they are a small time operation, and their back office isn't going to be sophisticated like Amazon's. I think you should expect antiquated low-tech contact methods for most mail order MI gear.

And the parts arrived yesterday, look nice, and were well-packed. Good job for a company of any size.

I really doubt that Mojotone was answering the phone on Christmas Day hence the post here... ;-)
