    California Typewriter

For those interested in all things obsolete, take a look at 'California Typewriter' a documentary about the business of that name and the survival of the typewriter in modern times. Really well observed and I think outstanding, fascinating and thought-provoking.

I like typing and am sad to see it's demise. That's why I'll stick with a desktop, even laptops are a bit restrictive. I can't imagine trying to read or post from a phone.
I do miss the feel and sound of the old manuals, even electrics.

It blows! After trying to go back to correct all the speech-to-text errors, I ultimately realize that what was supposed to be a quick response is taking way too much time. So I just cross my fingers while I hit post and just hope it makes some sense.
If I have a 50% chance of guessing the right answer, I guess wrong 80% of the time.

I'm noticing a lot of errors in written news media that can only be explained by auto correct. I can't understand how the authors would want to spend the time writing things out with their thumbs? Perhaps it's speech to text.
