Define the "improvements" you seek! Lotsa playing around room with these simple designs so small circuit changes often make lotsa difference. Rob |

Scott the biggest improvements I've heard are when a builder uses a "real", higher end 10 watt OT, a larger cabinet, (like one from a Harvard), and a great speaker. Bruce |

Just to add to Bruces reply, try a 6L6 type power tube.I have a tweed clone with a 7591 power tube and switchable between cathode and fixed bias, and an Amperex 5AR4 rect.It is in a fairly large cab made out of maple with a 10 inch Weber speaker, puts out 12 clean watts and maxes at about 17watts.The Weber speaker was the last change and really took it over the edge.
