Unhappy Let there be mods....

Hi,

In my ignorance I bought an Orange Crunch JCM2000 DSL50 a few years back cos I thought it looked the nuts... however my band is up and running now and we are starting to gig, the problem is I just can't get the volume out of my clean/crunch channel with-out having to wind the gain right up and then it starts to totally butcher the tone... Is there any way to get around this with a valve swap or changing transformers etc... or shall I just sell it and get a new amp????

Thanks

J

PS: You can here the kinda stuff I play on

unfortunately, the overdrive, and clean/crunch channels share gain stages, so what you change to one will most likely affect the other. I would personally sell it or trade it in for something that fits your needs better. Marshalls have good re-sell value.
