may be a stupid question, but

i have an old roland dep-5 that when run through a mixer along with my roland gr1, craps out.....just clips and shuts down. I have tried running the 1/4" guitar output separately through the dep-5, and have the same problem- to a lesser extent, but still sounds like an impedance problem. Is there a possible feedback problem (through the inputs to the mixer?) or is the two units simply incompatible? I have run the dep-5 through amps separately and have no problem with it, (other than crunchy pots- which i have cleaned recently, and it cleaned up ok)....I'm at a loss with this one, any help would be greatly appreciated.....Also, have an old re-101 space echo, that the capstan bearing is totally shot on. Any place to get one? or even a new pinch roller......love the sound of the unit, but it stalls after about 10 minutes, and hampers recording great forum, lots of smart folks, hope i can help out future newbies....thanks
