6CG7 swap for EL84 ?

Having never tried swapping tube types, I'm hesitant to try it.
EL84:

6CG7:

Heaters, inputs/outputs, and pin 9 being internal shield look compatible, these tube types look similar in many ways.
18w clone W/342v on the plates.
Do you think I should just drop in the 6CG7's and test them or am I missing something first ?

No, the 6CG7 is a twin triode, wired more like a 12AX7 and not at all like an EL84.
