Question How do I true bypass vintage effects

Hi everybody I would like to mod three old pedals to true bypass + leds, they are the Dod mini chorus 460, Mxr Dynacomp & Distortion +. I know that I have to replace the original switch with a 3pdt, but after that I dont have a clue as to what wires go where, does any body have a link to some pictures that I can work from or a diy site doing such a mod.

Just be careful what you wish for. Many classic effects were designed so that the effect volume would be the same as the bypass volume when the impact of the loading was factored in. If you don't know how to recalibrate the bypass volume, you may be causing more grief for yourself.

As well, if the pedal has some decent buffering before it, then TB is not providing anything particularly advantageous, unless you have a tendency to run 4 or 5 classic effects at once, and load the signal down like crazy.

The easy way is to build an external bypass box. If you want to have a straight-to-the-amp path with all your effects off, you can just have a bypass everything box. If you have vintage effects, they won't be vintage after you true-bypass them.
For most JFET switched pedals, you have to find the effect input/output, not the FET switch input/output, otherwise the effect will always be off.
Otherwise google it, and carve 'em up.
