No sound

Here is my guitar problem and would really appreciate any assistance:

When I made an adjustment on my neck pickup volume (Humbucker), the sound would cut out. This was intermittent between sounding good (normal) and complete silence. After working the knob , to try and get sound, it just completely went silent. I really don't think it's the pickup though.

I have a multimeter and have basic electrical skills.

Thanks

Ah haa!!!

As it turned out, all the solder joints were good. The problem was the actual terminal post was broken off of the pot. Replaced pot. All is well again. Thanks
