Acoustic 160 reverb hum

Hi,
turning on the reverb on my Acoustic 160 head creates lots of hum.The reverb is working (as weak as usual), the pot is ok. Changing filter caps, tubes, rev.cables and can did not fix it.Any ideas what parts to check?
Help much appreciated,
Zouto

Make sure that the tank is oriented so the output side is as far away from the power transformer as possible.

And as a test for that, demount the reveb pan, and free its wires so you can hang it outside the amp cab far as possible from the power tranny. If it helps, Bill is right on.

Make sure the cables are plugged into the right jacks on the reverb pan. Pull the cables out of the jacks on the pan. With the amp running and the reverb turned up some, touch teh tip of each of those plugs with your finger. The one that makes hum out the amp speaker is the one to plug into the OUTPUT jack on the pan.

Thanks

Thanks Bill and Enzo,
turning the tank so that it's output transformer is on the OT side reduced the hum to the normal level.

How about just sharing some info like the rest of us.
Otherwise your just another annoying free commercial here and that is not in the true spirit of AMPAGE.
