| Senior Member | bored at work...entertain me.
I'm at work (German auto repair shop) and the entire industry has ground to a halt. We're sitting here waiting for things to happen so I guess I'm gonna sit and wait...and post here because I have nothing else to do. I'm bored. I've already been bringing old amp chassis in to work and stripping them so that I can salvage parts and re-use the chassis if it's one that's worth it. I did manage to save some tube sockets and high wattage resistors. Not sure if I should trust old film and electrolytic caps though. I've got a small list of amps that I'm in the process of building and a huge list of parts that I have. I'm currently playing a fun game- what can I build without buying anything? Not much thus far but I'm sure I'll end up with a few simple push-pull and SE amps. I had a place up the street make amp faceplates for me- it was surprisingly affordable! Maybe I should cruise Craigslist for cheap amp stuff. sigh. Sorry for the wasted bandwidth. jamie |
