    fender roc-pro 1000 buzzing

i have a fender roc-pro 1000 that had a bad input jack. i replaced it with a stock fender part (stereo 9-pin), but now i'm hearing a buzzing from the power transformer that i don't think was there before. maybe i tugged on something too hard while lifting the chassis? i can't find anything obviously loose. also, the drive channel still allows a loud guitar sound when the drive level controls are all the way down....only the main channel volume control turned down will stop the guitar sound. buzzing is still there on either channel, clean or drive, with or without reverb.

    any ideas?
    thanks for your help

Some of those boards have a thru hole connection meaning the pad is on the top and bottom and thru the middle of the board as well. When taking the connector out if one of the leads stuck to it and pulled out with the connector. When you solder it back the top side doesn't make a good connection as the solder doesn't flow from bottom to top. Either way it sounds like a connection problem on that jack that is most likely a ground. IADR (in all due respect) I hate those jacks.

Just found another problem while working on one yesterday I noticed if the pot nuts aren't tightened good enough the pot will turn and the wires going to them may touch. This one was the master volume and it was shorting signal to shield causing the distortion channel to go almost mute. You may have two signal wires touching causing your symptoms so check that too.
