| Bo Diddley's amps back in the 50's?
I was wondering how he got that great tremelo on those old singles going back to 1955. Does anybody here know what amps he was using back in the 50's? Thanks! R.I.P., Bo! Steve Ahola |

Probably a Magnatone, eventually? Several sites state that, early on, he built his own tremolos from car parts and alarm clocks. Just Google "Bo Diddley Amps", and you'll find a few things. Brad1 |

If it was 1955, maybe it was a 5E9A. ( I think I'm biased towards Tweed Tremoluxes |
