G'day from Way Up North

G'day all....Stopped by and decided this was a pretty good spot without all the ruckus that is seen at some of the Other guitar forums.........A bit more Mature crowd here it seems!!

Hope you dont mind my hangin round to pick up a little knowledge here & there & maybe dole out perhaps some of the little I know.

While ive been playing for 35 + years I'm not a Pro so do not play at That Level........I'm spending more time lately learning some new stuff however.

I was once a Lead player & settled down to an acoustic for many years letting my electric work take a back seat.........Ive a renewed interest in the Electric though and have dug out some of the old stuff and purchased some new the last couple years.........The learning doesnt come as fast as it once did but the nimbleness in the fingers is returning.....& arthritis only bothers me on Rainy days.....

Hi, welcome.

You're further north than I am.

And arthritis? I have not been able to barre a chord for two weeks now, but it's coming back.

Hiya Enzo.....Actually, I'm quite a BIT further North. I did spend a few years of my Youth in a Suberb of Detroit though so know where your at.(much easier trip to houghton Lake & Boyne Mountain for you )

Still, you have actual Seasons, we have Winter & Road Construction
And while everyones complaining about the rising cost of gasoline, I'm scared to death heating my house will cost me 6000.00 this year ( it cost nearly 4000 last year)

Barre chords are a pain when the ol arthritis kicks in...thank god for Power chords

Todays Blues day. I'll be working on ZZ Top's Jesus just left Chicago & Blue Jean Blues

What are you working on today??

I am working on other people's amplifiers. I cover ZZ Top by wearing one of their beards.

Welcome Tileguy!

Compared to me, you're deep south!!! I was still seeing snow in the wooded areas as recently as a couple weeks ago!

I haven't seen snow in a long time where I live in North Carolina, but I'd like to move even further south. Welcome to the forum Tileguy.
