Possible entry level winding machine on the Bay

Possible entry level winding machine on the Bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Auto-Coil-Audio-...mZ280254598104

Looks like it would only need some minor work (like a bobbin flange).

Hello Redhouse,
I bought a machine like this some time ago. These are running to fast and you can not control the speed.
The machine is running like programmed :
Four turns slow and then it goes up to full speed until reaching the counter total. Original speed was 2000 turns per min.
I had to machine a verry large wheel for the belt to get it slower.

The machine is a good base for someone who knows what it takes to buid a
good winder.
But all the electronics inside scares me..........

cheers
david

I don't understand. Did the foot pedal not control the speed?

"You can control the winding speed using the foot pedal (pressing harder and the winding speed is faster; press lighter then the winding speed is slower)"

"Winding Speed:500-4500 turns/min"

I think that this might be a different machine than the one that JLtools sells on ebay.

basic "Coil Winder" not a pup winder -
while at Lace Music Products - the Actodyne General Div. would mfg. coils for the simi conductor Ind.
they would start slow then race like you mentioned.

also these machines all wind on the left side - thats a RW/RP - I would-not want to wind pups on the left pad all day long - yuck! -
I tried to talk myself into ordering one of these just as a stand by - but the 60.00 shipping is a wake up call - and the left side thing - was the kill-roy!
