| BF Princeton Reverb anyone?
I'm planning a build of a Blackface Princeton Reverb (AA1164) clone (in terms of circuit, but not look) and would like to hear from anyone that has done the same as far as pitfalls, recommendations, components you'd recommend (brand of trannies, reverb springs, speakers used, etc.), results of your build, etc. Please either respond to this thread, or email me directly at sjones@fgm.com. Thanks, Steve Jones |

Steve, I started a Princetone Reverb clone project a long time ago. I ended up building a BF Deluxe Reverb Clone but with just one pre-amp channel. The DR circuit sounded so much better than the PR because of the better PI section and bigger OT. I used a bias vary tremolo like the PR but upgraded to the cathode follower tremolo driver. Just some things for you to consider. HTH, Tom |
