Dunno about 6Y6s as output tubes in a guitar amp (though,as a rough guess, you'd might consider them as "little bros" of 6V6s) BUT AFAIK they make a great figure when used as drivers in some newer audiophile amps.
Regards,
I came across a stash of NOS RCA 6Y6G coke bottle tubes and was wondering if there was any guitar amp design out there that could use them. I understand these tubes are happy at relatively low plate voltage. How could I build a Deluxe Reverb type amp with these as the power tubes? Any and all suggestions welcome.
