    It would be a good idea to Vacuum out the inside of the cabinet to make sure there are no little bits of anything inside.
    WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
    REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !

      I might have (sort of) called this out earlier when I mentioned that speakers of the era might have a tendancy to decompose. But I honestly didn't predict this. Maybe a modern rebuild kit is of better quality than the original speaker. Seems likely.

        Seems to me some of the speakers had a bit of foam in the rear 'vent', where there was also a piece of metal screen. Not sure if that would have been included in a cone kit, but do recall seeing the issue before, like Jazz mentioned.
