  • Fender PA100 build

Hi guys, new to the forums. Looking for some insight into this build. It's based on a Fender PA100 I scored a while back. It's all original down to the filter caps and dead silent. Resistors are within 3-4% of spec. There was just too much good iron in there to leave it totally stock and bland.

The plan is to use V1 and V2 for channels channels 1 & 2 of an Ampeg B-15N preamp. I figured I'd blend them through 270k's after the volume pots like both circuits do right into V5A of the Fender. I didn't want to redesign the whole amp, just to voice it for bass. Filter caps are also on the menu. I'll be doubling their values to see if it can hit as hard as my Ampeg VT-22 can.

    Any thoughts?

    The amp:
