That uses 6V6, but should be very similar.

You will want to lose the photo tube, and pull the power oscillator tube. Then go from there.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Many thanks indeed! Let me know any other mods you would recommend?

I am not a mod guy, you are going to build a guitar amp circuit into this chassis. I know the projector circuit, and that phototube will react to light and make noise and affect the sound. And the oscillator is not needed and wastes power and heat.

Yeah and he has EL84s instead of 6V6s. But it still ought to be real close.

Just for your info, the EL84 versions of the filmosounds seem to be more desirable/valuable due to the "Bernie" amps, so keep that in mind if you are considering any major changes, such as output tube type.
"Everything is better with a tube. I have a customer with an all-tube pacemaker. His heartbeat is steady, reassuring and dependable, not like a modern heartbeat. And if it goes wrong he can fix it himself. You can't do that with SMD." - Mick Bailey

Thanks for all the info - I've given it to a guy to convert to a guitar amp - will keep you updated!
