Hi All,
With summer over I'm gettin the bug to build another amp. (done a couple of 5e3's and a DR, which worked out great). Wanted another small amp with about the power of a 5e3--which is just the right weight/dB's for me to gig with. Plus it breaks up at about the correct volume level.
Was thinking of a simple single ended design like a Princeton. But use two 6L6's in parrallel. I'll use a 5e3 chassis so I can use it in a 5e3 cabinet-12" speaker etc. Rough wattage = 12?? Is that right
It appears that the only real changes are:
1. Bigger PT - already have one
2. seperate bias res/cap on each tube, (maybe a switch for 1/2 power)
3. up the power supply caps a bit
4. Standby switch
5. I was thinking of a Hammond 125FSE, 20W, 90ma. Will provide some clean headroom. 5k primary, 4,8,16 secondaries . Unsure of single ended parallel 6l6 output needs.
any obvious omissions, other than sliding these purchases past my wife?
