Is there any problem with putting a grounded 3 prong AC cord on this circuit? I think this is the first time I’ve seen this.

I would definitely add a grounded AC cord AND a fuse. Although not a full blown "widowmaker", since B+ is derived after a transformer and isolated, the filaments are directly across the AC line. I'd also add a second isolation transformer for the filaments so that you are totally isolated and safe.
