  • Fender Hot Rod Deluxe won't play!

Hi, I've just bought a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp, however, I've just
plugged it in and it won't make any sound! It's definently turned on because the tubes are getting warm and de lights are working... any ideas? I've searched for any cause but I couldn't find it... What am i doing wrong?

    greetings, Freé

    Do you have an ohmmeter?
Unplug the speaker plug from the jack at the back of the amp.
Check across the tip & the ring of the plug.
You will be reading the DC resistance of the speaker coil.
Hopefully it will read around 8 ohms.
When reinserting the plug, make sure it is in the correct jack socket.
    The one on the left.
For that matter, the jack on the right, marked ext. spkr, is normally closed.
If this jack is not functioning properly you will not get a signal to the correct jack. (on the left).
If that is the case, plug an unterminated cord in the jack on the left & insert the amplifiers speaker in the jack on the right. (this is the 4 ohm factory configuration).
    Hope this helps.
If not, it is time to start digging.

At the risk of repeating myself.
I repeat:"If that is the case, plug an unterminated cord in the jack on the left & insert the amplifiers speaker in the jack on the right. (this is the 4 ohm factory configuration)."
          Give it a go.
That jack on the right may be killing the signal.
This is how you test whether it is or not.
