I have one of the first Krank Chadwick amp's (not sure if it's actually Krank but they made them since).
I wasn't paying attention and hooked my attenuator up to the wrong output without thinking (I was used to hooking my speaker cabinet up to the 16 ohm, but the attenuator is 4 ohms). As everyone knows this damages the amp. I would describe it as very weak output now but very messed up sound, some of the components need replaced. I have other sets of tubes, I tried them, that was not the problem. Tried a different output transformer, that did not solve the problem. Any other ideas????
I don't need to hear that I'm dumb for doing that, just help to figure out what is wrong.
Thanks
