  • Fender Super Sonic Effects Loop Issue

    Hey everyone,

I figured I'd repost with a bit more informative subject. Thanks in advance for helping me out.

I play through a Fender Super Sonic 112 Combo that has an issue with the effects loop bleeding the dry signal from send to return. Example; if you plug a volume pedal in the Send/Return, or a tuner w/ mute, or even just open the circuit by plugging in a patch cable on the return side, you get a fair amount of preamp bleeding through to the power amp.

When bringing the issue to the attention of Fender, they said is was caused by a capacitor added to the send/return circuit. Which cap? I dunno.

I've tried to do some pinpointing on the entire circuit by isolating where the issue begins and where it ends. I found that if I eliminate the vintage channel, burn channel, and tone stack, the issue goes away.

Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks again for all the help.

I know this is important to you, but we do already have your thread on this same amp and problem.
