I just bought a late 80s model Carvin x 60 b and already having problems ,if anyone could help me understand what is causing these problems, would be greatly apprieciated.1. The guy told me one input did not work upfront,I get the amp home plug in, play about an hour, lose all power, plug in each plug seperatly..nothing, a few min later the one that was working still not working, I plug into the"bad" input it IS working and has every since???? 2. I bought this amp for the clean channel knowing going in that the distortion on these amps are horrid, the 2nd day I plug in every time I played a power chord or hit the 6th big E string it made a horrible buzz ,this quit after a few min and has not returned really weird anybody???

Sounds to me like the amp needs a good cleaning and all around check up. The pots and the jacks should be cleaned with a high quality cleaner like DeOxit. All of the circuit interconnects should also be checked and cleaned. And the entire amp should be checked for any loose or broken solder joints, etc.
