  • Randall Warhead X2 help needed (calling Enzo)

Enzo, slobrain told me to give you a shout. Maybe you can help with my little issue. The main problem is I can't find schematics for the Warhead X2 and Randall refuses to help me. Do you happen to have any?

The original problem is the yellow, 'Treble' LEDs will randomly flicker out of nowhere. That causes the sound to cut in and out with the flicker.
I am missing 2 pages from the schematics. The 2 pages that I need from the EQ section! Just my luck.

Check out this thread for the handful of schematics that I do have: http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9734 (if it will load, we're having issues). There's a couple big-name amp techs that chimed in with their suggestions. They can't really help without schematics .

duesentrieb from Diezel said it may be the powersupply of the H11F1 optocoupler to the left of the EQ pot shown in the attached picture.

Thanks for any time, folks. It doesn't look like I will ever get this thing fixed. $600 down the drain .

My instant reaction to LEDs flicker and sound cuts out was POWER SUPPLY.

Monitor any low voltage supplies like +/-15v for any op amps and other semiconductor stuff. See if it comes and goes. I haven't seem the schemos yet, and no I don't have them.

I would doubt the flickering LED "causes" the problem, I would bet it is just a symptom.

ID:	988229I've noticed with a lot of different pictures I run into on the net that's there all kind of different parts in these randall x2s. And I know these 1 or 2 or whatever how many little pieces. They make a big difference in sound. Facts. It kind of socks knowing that maybe mine might be a piece of shit or it might be one of the best ones. I dunno

Firsty, this is a 16 year old thread. If you have a question, you may want to start a new one. Secondly, after reading both of your last 2 posts, I have no idea what you are asking or telling us. So, if you start a new thread, please be more specific as to what you are asking or pointing out.
