Hi!
My mates marshall had a dickie boost switch making it go on and off. We replaced it and everything workes fine...untill we crank the volume. When loud, it's distorting and clipping the tops. (boost only, works fine clean). Someone mentioned a faulty diod but there is only one diod and thats a LED in the boost circuit. I'm thinking transistor or a cap. Or maybe the opamp in the next circuit?? Has anyone else got any experience with this problem? Here is a link to a Schematic diagram (free download and no registration)
Marshall G50RCD Service Manual free download, schematics, datasheets, eeprom bins, pcb, repair info for test equipment and electronics
All help appreciated.
Thx
