yes, it's set for DC volts i believe, it has an option for OHM, AC, and DC. Under the DC it says it automatically reads between AC or DC. that's about what I can observe.

As long as you are getting HV's at the fuse,I have to assume you arent getting a good connection at pin 3.To check the current draw, set your meter to ma's,connect the red lead to your OT Ct and the black lead to pin 3 of one of your power tubes. This will tell you the current going thru that side of the OT.If you have 2 power tubes, the ma's you read are whats going thru that tube.If it is a 4 power tube output, you divide what you see by 2 to tell you what each tube is drawing.

Oh HEY, one more question, if i had the power tube fuse out, would that be the reason why i didnt get a voltage reading on pin # 3? i just realized that the fuse was not in the amp while i was trying to get the reading.

Did you have the fuse out while you were playing it?Is it okay now?We havent heard anything since you discovered the fuse was not there.

The last I saw the OP readjusted the bias away from -39V. (went hotter)
Then this quote "the tone went from kweef to beef."
                            I guess 'beef' is good?

I was wondering about that statement, but I think that was before he discovered the fuse was out of the amp.I am wondering if he was playing the amp with no fuse.Assuming there is a fuse on each tube,or each side of the OT,he would only be using half the output, which could cause the symptom.
