  • Filament PT for Peavey 5150 needed

    Hello folks,

I've got an older 5150 where the PT's filament windings are disconnected. All other sec. windings are just fine. A new PT cost close to $200 plus installation. So I'm looking for a filament PT with at least 6A, better a bit more. On ebay are mostly rotten old bulky things from the French Revolution. Any hints where I could find something new or "newer" at least?
I would like to research this option first.

    Thanks in advance !

Is the actual 6v winding open on the old transformer? Or is it just disconnected?

meanwhile the key to finding a transformer is to stop looking on ebay, and look to real parts houses, like Mouser. 6v transformers are as common as it gets. All shapes and sizes.
