  • please help me troubleshoot a fender fuzz wah reissue pr 739 pedal

    Hello!

I have a fender wah reissue pr 739 pedal that I really love, but the wah stopped working. I opened it up, and all 3 wires were disconnected from the wah pot due to not being tight and spinning the entire pot during use. I was able to solder the wires back on, but there is a green ground wire on the frame that isn't connected to anything. The wah seems to work, outside of the fact that there seems to be a short somewhere. If the output cable to the amp is wiggled, or if you touch the metal case it shorts out the wah. This sounds like a grounding problem, which would make sense since the green ground isn't currently attached to anything.

I have no idea where the ground wire should go, or if this is even the problem. Maybe the pot is bad as well? Also, if i touch any of the 3 wires on the wah pot it toggles the wah on/off. Any ideas?

Here are some photos of the pedal internals - you can see the green ground to nowhere.

I can not live without this pedal and it is nowhere near gig ready at the moment. Thanks a million for any help!
