Have to second the slippery slope comment...HOWEVER, my thought is, (to SteveA and the other forum powers) what's the chances of adding a second button next to the "Like" button, where the community could click on it? Call it "Comedic Value."

That would work for both funny posts, and 'warn' those about a post who either don't know enough to know better, or those who's sarcasm meter is out of alignment, or those who need their 'bias' adjusted.

This would also have the side effect of letting the following pass-through unimpeded.

The Forum is still recovering from serious illness, so don't feel surprised if a couple of us are still jumpy when we seem to perceive we start going down the slippery road again.

What many don't notice is that besides the couple dozen steady posters we see everyday, there's *hundreds* of "lurkers" or plain "guests" regularly checking what's being written here.

A wrong assumption or mistake, bad advice, etc. , can be corrected if somebody asks about it, but I often worry than somebody reads bad advice or nonsense here, which to confuse matters more is usually accompanied by impressive fake or unrelated claims ("I design/wire Satellites for the NASA" type) and applying that bad advice to solve a problem makes a mess or worse.

While exceedingly good and experienced advice such as offered by Enzo and many others is presented in such a "humble" way (in the good sense) that noobs who don't know better (how could they?) may disregard it and prefer some bad advice presented in a flamboyant way.

      Just sayin'

That's why you can't take what you read on the web as the truth.

Look at all the bad info on different amp sites that's out there.
Then again it makes more work for people like us.
