Sheet 1, upper left hand corner, right under the channel footswitch for D6 and D7. OC1 is under that by the input jack and V1A

Old post i know, but i am curious to know what ever happened to this. I have the same situation with hum and would like to know if the optocoupler OC1 did anything for you (and if not, what you actually did to solve the hum issue.)

Not going to be much help here...I do not have the test equip to run down the source of the hum so I sent the amp to a Crate authorized service shop. Was asked to ship it without the tubes installed. The shop put new tubes in it and when they turned it on the hum was gone. They touched up a couple of suspect solder joints. I talked with the tech and he thought I had a bad tube. (the tubes I had in it were all new.) I really think there was a bad solder joint somewhere in the pre amp section. But that is just what I think. The hum has not returned.

New is not a guarantee of good when it comes to tubes. You sometimes get bad ones right from the box.
