Fender Frontman - really strange problem

Here is what I found......

Please recheck the resistor you replaced that was broken (post #7). Was it R6, the 15K in the feedback loop of U1A? Does it now measure 15K? If you put your probes directly on pins 1 and 2 does it measure about 20K?

Just re-measured R6. It measures 14.1 K Keep in mind that Q1 is still removed.

And how about resistance from pin1 to pin2 of IC1 ?

Resistance from Pin 1 to Pin 2 is 18K ohms
