Hi all,
an Epiphone EJ220 electroacoustic (esonic preamp powered with 2x CR2032 batteries) came in today and the customer claims batteries drains way too fast (in a couple of hours). He definitely unplugs and turns the preamp off every time after playing and claims this started happening around two weeks ago, before that the batteries lasted for months.
This guitar is equipped with a magnetic Nanomag pickup which reads around 1.5MOhm DC resistance and a under-saddle piezo Nanoflex pickup that reads around 800Ohms.
Since Shadow claims both are low impedance pickups, I'm thinking Nanomag is busted? I see a lot of info online regarding returns of these guitars on the very same basis (fast battery drain).
Anyone has any experience with these pickups?
