I just picked up a Victoria 5E7 and I have a couple of questions.
It has a hiss, not a hum. When I turn down my guitar it's still there. It gets more pronounced when I turn up the treble. I swapped out the 3 preamp tubes and rectifier and it's still there. I haven't opened it up yet to start moving wires. Any ideas on what to maybe look for?
Also, stock is a 5AR4 rectifier with 5881's. Can I run a 5Y3 and 6V6's in this if I rebias?
