Vibrato LDR

I'm looking for LDRs to make a replacement tremolo unit for an Ampeg B-12.

Anyone done this before? The existing ones seem to have a value of 10s of MOhm dark and about 6K with the neon lit. I tried a couple of ORP12 type LDRs I had lying around, but they were too slow to follow the oscillator signal.

Anyone got a part number?
