Mesa female 7 pin plug

Hi I'm looking for a replacement for a 7 pin female plug in for a Mesa F30 board 30mm long. I've tried to upload photo's but can't get them to behave. It's the female plug connecting the Power amp to the circuit board. Many thanks. Dave

Is it ike a DIN connector on a flying lead or PCB mounted?

Hi thanks for replying. It looks like but smaller than a LST flying lead they use in models, but obviously bigger. I will try again getting a photo uploaded but I’m afraid I can’t get past a URS is needed.

To upload a photo, save the photo to your computer and using the upload attachments button, simply upload it, as an attachment, then select the size, thumbnail is good and that is it.

The only DIN that the F30 has is for the pedal board.
You may be referring to this connector?

They are generic. That is a Molex KK156 series header. 156 as in 0.156" spacing. The one in the photo is an IDC type - for insulation displacement connector. The pins are made so that an insulated wire cuts through the insulation and makes a connection. While this can be done by hand, I prefer to replace it with crimp pin versions. In those, the plastic body is sold separately, and you buy pins to eb crimped onto the wires. Then you stick the pins into the plastic shell.

They do sell "kits" which is the plastic shell and a handful of pins in one package. Mouser or similar will have them. For example:

Note the example is a 10-space one. I used to carry all the parts for these in my tool kit for field service. I carried 20-pin housings, and if I needed a 7-pin, I cut through the connector body at pin 8 and just leave seven pin holes. The rest of the piece went back into my kit for when I needed a smaller number.

Thank you all for the replies. I converted my F30 110v to 230 successfully but I damaged the female connection , side and although I got round it,it nagged at me to get a proper replacement. I started life as a apprentice factory electrician but ended up in UK forces with a mechanical qualification and after over 20yrs service I got back into gigging and hence amp interest. Thanks again all.
