What are you using in way of Axial Lead Al Elect Caps these days?

They've morphed into active123.com , but have very little in the way of components compared to what they used to.

I went looking for Active, in a nostalgic moment a couple months ago, and found active123 as you mention. They don't have much anymore, barely a trace of what used to be. They were one of my go-to sources in the 80's and early 90's. Surprisingly, Tandy also had a ready supply of good parts then, quality a cut above what we found in Radio Shack. Fast shipping too out of Dallas/Ft.Worth.

For work I ordered a couple hundred 22uf/63v from Mouser last year I think.

When ordering quantities it sometimes pays off to check Newark/Element14. They have closeout sales at rock bottom prices, sometimes on parts that are actually useful. No guarantees you'll find a bonanza but it pays to take a couple minutes to look.

I see the Kemet ecaps on Mouser, along with those from Vishay/BC. These days, they're well over $2 ea for say 22uF/63v or 22uF/100V axial's. I've had good look with Kemet's film & ceramic caps.

Siemens (pronounced Seemens) components was split off in 2006 and renamed EPCOS (now owned by TDK).

Siemens ecaps were excellent and I guess EPCOS branded ones still are.
I have many 20 years old axial ecaps of the LL (long life) series that still measure better than most new caps.

I used Siemens ecaps for many years....didn't see them later anywhere. I haven't come across the EPCOS caps for a long time now.

caps from Active in Canada. Active in recent years appears to be inactive, what a shame because they had quality parts, good prices & fast friendly service, also never any additional charges or wait times for cross-border shipments.

If I'm not mistaken, Xicon is Mouser's house brand. Some Xicon items have disappeared from Mouser's catalog over the years. Meanwhile other items have acquired the Xicon brand. Whether caps, resistors or miniature transformers I haven't had any problems with Xicon products.

MOD is Antique/CE's house brand. They started labeling Chinese reverb tanks MOD a couple years ago. Also the cheapest line of Jensen speakers. Surprisingly both reverbs & speakers have worked out well in my experience. They may be cheap but they're not crap. I suppose CE is now extending their MOD branding to caps they buy in quantity from some Chinese outfit. I have no experience with their MOD caps. Beside the MOD, Sprague & F&T brands, CE has offered generic low-voltage caps at bargain prices in axial form. I've been using these for about 20 years now, no problems at all. I know this was tongue in cheek. I'll just say that it comforts me (personally) that I chose Mr. Potato Head just because he was "Mr. Potato Head" without other considerations. I think I recall you mentioning MIEC in the past on this same subject, when Nichicon had announced the demise of their axial leaded electrolytic. I know shipping will be a bit more from Just Radios up in Ontario, Canada. I read the details they provided on that page that the link woke up on, so I'm looking forward to adding them to my ever-changing inventory. Many thanks for the tip!

One thing I like about the Nichicon and Vishay caps I buy are the date codes.

You don't get that with MIEC and others. Who knows how old the caps you're getting are.

I hadn't picked up on the date codes on Nichicon. So, with the two axial lead caps I have in hand...a VX series 47uF/63V....date code reads 1423. I assume this is 23rd week of 2014. And the VX series 22uF/100V...date code reads 1521. I assume this is the 21st week of 2015. I believe I bought these in early 2019, or whenever it was that the general notice went out among us at MEF that Nichicon was cancelling all of their axial leaded electrolytic caps. These had been on the shelf in distribution already for a little while (few years).

Looking at a PW series 1000uF/35V Radial Electrolytic, the date code reads B1704. I assume this would be 4th week of 2017. Casually looking thru the bags of my other Nichicon Radial electrolytic caps, I see they all have a code.........good to know. Thanks!!
