In one of your earlier posts you had said that "you really don't want the vibration from speakers being channeled back into the pan. That causes reverb feedback and other undesirable things."
Problem is, there is no speaker in this standalone reverb tank? I completely understand when the pan is mounted on the inside of a combo amp (which has an internal speaker or two in close proximity), but there is no speaker inside the '63 reissue tank, and the nearest external speaker to it is probably 10-feet away. So I don't get it? Are we trying to protect the pan from those external speakers too, no matter how loud or remote? If so, something just doesn't seem right about that to me. Some of these surf bands today are playing at deafening volumes with 4X15" JBL-130s less than inches from these standalone tanks. What am I missing here?
