mixed triode/pentode in duet PP

I've been tweaking my fixed (adjustable) biased 2-6L6 amp to sound a little more like single coils with my humbucker equiped guitar. I'm thinking about wireing one of the two output tubes for triode connection and possibly add 100v trick to get boosted triode level to more or less match the other tubes output as it will be left pentode connected.
What might be the pitfalls of running a duet this way? Crossover dist.???
