  • "Cut" control

I would like to incorporate a post-preamp treble "Cut" control in my Bandmaster. Isn't the hookup loosely similar to a cross-line master volume, with one side having a cap to ground instead?

Can somebody give me pot and cap values and hookup info?

    Thanks!

find a Vox AC30 schematic and take a look at that. It was something like 250k and 2200pF IIRC.

      Cut control

      Fred

Dai has it for the AC30. Each leg attaches between the post PI coupling caps & the grid resistors. 2200pf from one side to the center wiper & wiper 1 to the other side. Wiper 3 has no connection.

Tophat uses .0047 and a 1MA Pot. I've used both & tend to like the latter with 6V6s & 6L6s. YMMV

      Hope this helps
