I am planning of grafting the power amp section of a Musicmaster Bass (2x6V6 cathode bias push-pull) into my SFVC and I have a question -
will it be easier to find a place to mount the interstage transformer, or to use a Princeton non-reverb PI and find a way to make the vibrato work without the cathode follower stage with a cathode bias power section? Any ideas?
I am thinking of mounting the interstage Trans. on the underside of the chassis beneath the circuit board in the same plane it was originally in.
How sensitive will the interstage trans. be to noise and /or oscillation depending on position?
