Basic modifications for a Princton 65?

Well. I was just curious. What are my options for basic upgrades to my Princton 65? I mean, I can't see doing TOO much to it. As I love it for all it is. But the sound is kinda... A little weak for what I use it for. I'm a Rythm guitarist for a metal band. I just want to bring forward more the the tone for the onboard distortion.

Any suggestions? Or maybe other mods that might bring foreward more highend in general with out making it sound twangy?
