I am new to all this so please don't ream me out if one of these questions sounds stupid to you. I have a JCM 900 High Gain Dual Reverb 100 watt. And I want to know what you folks think about these ideas.
1. Differences between EL34, 6L6GC, 5881 output tubes.
2. Tone differences of switching the V-1 12ax7 to one with less gain but high over all output(3ma or higher).
3. Adding additional filter caps.
4.Moving the output signal grid stopper resistors from the pcb directly to the tube sockets.
5. How can I get more control of the EQ section? Swap pots for different values or......?
